We understand what an unsettling period this can be for our clients and accept the frustrations often associated with the conveyancing process itself. We therefore aim to get our clients to exchange contracts (the point at which the deal becomes legally binding and everyone can relax) as quickly as we possibly can.
Whilst we target all of our lawyers to be ready to exchange contracts within 30 days, regrettably parts of the process are outside of our control and we are therefore often waiting upon third parties to provide information.
Timescales are therefore difficult to predict and can range from 4 to 12 weeks from instruction to exchange of contracts. Please do not agree to any specific dates as proposed by other parties without first speaking with your lawyer.
